There is no poetry involved in this poem but a visual representation of something praiseworthy. In praise of womanliness. I struggled for a long time with feelings of inadequacy for a long time always largely centered on the fact that I was a woman. In my confused mind there was something so weak and fragile in fully walking in the glory that comes with being a woman, as if my denial of it would make me any less than what God created me to be. It took a while, I’m still working through it, but I am leaps and bounds further than what I was when i started this journey. We always talk about what you could be if you had a superpower. I realized that as fun as it is to choose to want to fly, or to be invisible, being a woman in a world that hates you is truly a superpower. Use it to concur in whatever way you were created to. There is power in knowing who we are and living it to its fullest potential.
*side note, A Friend on insta said this looked very Whitney Houston. It wasn’t intentional, but I’ll take it.
