Monochromes don’t ever have to just be black and white tones. As a matter of fact,
who made that drab rule anyways.
I decided to wear monochromatic tones of yellow, coupled with a whole lot of different textures, to provide a contrast and layers. Paired that together with a tonal blazer and also some white sunnies and boots, and additionally finished it off with the prettiest little vintage clutch.
This color combo works with basically every color, play around with different shades of the same color, different textures (similarly as I have done here). Lace goes with everything. Don’t be afraid of velvet and tweeds and denims.
Just have fun with it.
Something about wearing single monochrome, in any color, looks so clean and well put together. I posted this pic on my instagram with a caption talking about needing to exert my power to say no a little bit more. I have come a long way from where I started and being more conscious has helped. We don’t have to say yes to everything, especially the things that you know in your soul, you don’t want to do. Why do we dishonor ourselves and the people involved by doing things halfheartedly, when we’d rather not. I’m trying to live a more honorable life. Being good to others, as I am to myself but, being true to myself, as I am to others. And I know there is compromise in some situations, but there is also boundaries the rest of the time. I’m setting up healthy ones and saying No.
